Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Local Data Wire Co. products and services. By subscribing or using our reports, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't subscribe.

What We Provide

Local Data Wire Co. produces property intelligence reports and data files derived from public records. Our products include:

• Permit intelligence reports (PDF and Excel) filtered by trade and county
• Violation intelligence reports with property context
• Competitive intelligence analysis of contractor activity
• Property-enriched data including owner information, assessed values, and neighborhood context

Reports are delivered via email on a recurring schedule based on your subscription tier.

Data Accuracy

Acceptable Use

You may use our data for legitimate business purposes: prospecting, territory planning, market analysis, and competitive intelligence. You agree to:

• Comply with all applicable laws, including Do Not Call regulations if contacting property owners by phone
• Not use our data for harassment, stalking, or any illegal purpose
• Not resell or redistribute our reports or raw data without written permission
• Not use our data in any way that discriminates against individuals based on protected characteristics

Intellectual Property

The underlying public records belong to the public. Our proprietary value is in the filtering, enrichment, analysis, formatting, and delivery of that data. Specifically:

• Report formats, templates, and analysis methodologies are our intellectual property
• The raw public data points (addresses, permit numbers, owner names) remain public information
• You may use data from our reports in your own internal business materials
• You may not reproduce or redistribute our reports in their original format

Subscriptions and Payment

• Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
• Prices are listed on our product pages and may change with 30 days notice
• You can cancel anytime by emailing jackson@localdatawire.com
• When you cancel, access continues through the end of your current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial months, but we'll work with you if something isn't right

Limitation of Liability

Local Data Wire Co. provides data intelligence products on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for:

• Business decisions made based on our data
• Inaccuracies in source data from county records
• Temporary service interruptions or delays in report delivery
• Any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Service Availability

We aim to deliver reports on the schedule described in your subscription tier. However, we depend on county data portals that we don't control. If a county portal goes down, changes its data format, or stops publishing data, we may need to delay or modify reports. We'll communicate any disruptions to subscribers.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your subscription if you violate these terms, particularly the acceptable use provisions. We'll provide notice before termination except in cases of clear abuse. You can terminate your subscription at any time for any reason.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our products evolve. For significant changes, we'll notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of our products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
